This month's Unsung Hero is Emily Kullman!

Every month, we ask you to nominate a person here in town (or in West Central Missouri) who's helping how they can to make other's lives better. It doesn't have to be someone that's spending a lot of money, but someone that's just doing good things because they like to help others. That's what our latest Unsung Hero does! Let's get to know Emily. Emily is from Cole Camp.  Here's what her nominator, Kirsty Schultz had to say:

For as long as I have known Emily, almost ten years, she has always been a shining light in the community of Cole Camp.  She takes on and juggles so many tasks and responsibilities that benefits those around her. She is heavily involved in her church, helps coordinate vacation bible school every summer, as well as the annual Christmas program. She also works with the rec program sports in Cole Camp. She has the patience of a saint and manages to do all she does while working full time in health care and somehow finding time to a mom and a wife. Emily has the biggest heart and will do anything she can to help someone, which is why she deserves to know how appreciated she is.

Emily grew up in Cole Camp and graduated high school there as well. Now she's an x ray tech at Bothwell in Warsaw.  Emily says she doesn't think she's too busy, she just volunteers when she's asked -which is probably how she got involved in the Vacation Bible School as well as organizing the Christmas Program in December with her church.

Emily says she got asked to be on the Kaysinger Recreation Board, even though she says she wasn't big on sports in school.  Well, she was more involved in sports than me (your physically lazy author), because she was involved in cheerleading and softball. On the board, she organizes baseball, softball and basketball.

This summer she's going to a 4-H baseball game with the Cardinals and is looking forward to that.  Here's her talk with Randy:

If you have someone you'd like to nominate to be our next Unsung Hero, you can find the form here.

Nominatingly yours,
