Gentle Reader, I admit I'm not as.... handy as I could be.   I don't really see myself as a person who makes things.

I'm a person who buys things.

But there are some very creative, very intelligent people who do like to craft, and they're pretty damn good at it.   In fact, we should probably be happy these people are entertaining themselves with crafting, so they don't turn on all of us when they're done with our malarkey.

No, I'm just joking, but really, people do relieve a lot of stress with crafting! And it's not just about a hobby, it's also functional and practical.  You might not think about it, but there are a ton of different ways someone can be a "crafter".

The crafting world is huge and....well, huge. Here are some popular types:

  • Knitting & Crocheting – Great for making scarves, blankets, or 400 dishcloths.

  • Sewing & Quilting – From heirloom quilts to quirky tote bags.

  • Scrapbooking & Paper Crafts – Think card-making, journals, and very enthusiastic use of washi tape.

  • Painting & Drawing – Watercolor landscapes, acrylic pet portraits, or custom bookmarks.

  • Woodworking – From tiny bird mansions to shelves to put your K-Pop albums on. Not that you have a lot of those to display.

  • Jewelry Making – Beaded, stamped, wire-wrapped—whatever sparkles!

  • Embroidery & Cross-Stitch – Beautiful, detailed stitching that often includes curse words in elegant fonts.

  • Candle & Soap Making – For folks who like their hobbies to smell amazing.

  • Pottery & Ceramics – From mugs to vases to those slightly lumpy "abstract" pieces we all treasure.  Or put in the back of the cabinet and kind of forgot about.

  • Upcycling/DIY Decor – Turning junk into treasure and old windows into Pinterest-worthy masterpieces.

  • Holiday Crafts – Ornaments, wreaths, and anything involving glitter that won’t come out of your carpet until July.

Now imagine all that - in one place.  Where not only you can enjoy the work, you speak to the person doing the work,.... for free.
