MOORE Expo to Move to Mo State Fairgrounds in 2027
The Midwest Overlanding & Off-Road Expo (MOORE Expo) announced today that it will relocate to the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia, Missouri beginning in 2027.
Now entering its eighth year, MOORE Expo has grown from a regional gathering into one of the largest overland and off-road events in the Midwest, drawing thousands of attendees and more than 200 brands each year. The move comes as the event continues to expand beyond the capacity of its current venue at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds.
“We’ve reached a point where the current venue is starting to limit what we can do,” said Chris Holloway, Founder of MOORE Expo. “Rather than wait until it becomes a problem, we’re making the move now so we continue to grow the event authentically.”
The Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia will provide significantly more space for both exhibitors and attendees, including access to the newly-built 150,000-square-foot Governor Michael L. Parson Arena. The venue also allows for expanded indoor exhibits, covered outdoor booth spaces, and improved traffic flow across the event.
For exhibitors, the move is expected to improve both setup and performance, with more room for larger activations, better layout design, and increased time with attendees.
The fairgrounds’ infrastructure also includes upgraded amenities, easier access via Interstate 70, and proximity to major international airports. Attendees will benefit from one of the most notable additions: approximately 2,000 onsite campsites.
The expanded camping capacity allows more visitors to stay for the full weekend, increasing engagement throughout the event and creating more opportunities for connection between brands and the overland community. MOORE Expo organizers emphasized that while the venue is changing, the core of the event will remain the same.
“We’re not turning the MOORE Expo into something different,” Holloway said. “The brands, the community, and the feel of the event will remain the same. This move simply gives us the space to keep building on what’s already working.” Additional details regarding the 2027 event, including exhibitor registration and dates, will be announced following the 2026 show.
