And before you go thinking this is a downer post — hold up. This isn’t here to ruin your vibe. It’s just a little reminder: if you’re worried about where your next meal is coming from — whether it’s for you, your kids, or someone you love — you’re not alone. Like, really not alone.

Chances are you know someone facing this exact situation. Could be your neighbor. Could be that quiet kid at school who always says they’re “not hungry” at lunch. A lot of kiddos right here in our community aren’t sure when or where their next meal is coming from. And growing kids need real food—not just Goldfish crackers and hope.

But here’s the good news: help is here, and it’s the tasty kind, from the  Heart of America Re Distribution Solutions & Support.

There will be free, nutritious summer meals served all over town beginning June 2nd.  That’s Monday through Friday, no income guidelines, and no weird hoops to jump through.

All you have to do is just show up. That’s it. You get food. Boom. Done.

Here's their list, and you can always visit the one closest to you, or you can go to the most convenient one.

  • Centennial Park 11:30 to 12
  • Liberty Park 11:30 to 12
  • Vermont Park 11:30 to 12
  • Hubbard Splash Pad 11 to 11:30
  • Housel Park 11:20 to 11:50
  • Katy Park 12:20 to 12:50
  • New Kingdom Life 11:30 to 12:15 (Mon – Thurs)

And starting July 1, “Grand & Go” meals will be available weekly for distribution at the Celebration Center, 1705 W. 32nd Street, from 11 to 12:30. Parents and guardians may pick up those meals.
