Tuesday evening, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was not displaying any registration. The car was stopped on South Grand Avenue near West 7th Street. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered the driver had a suspended driving privilege. Edwyn Rehmer, 20, of Cole Camp, was arrested on a charge of Driving While Suspended. Rehmer was transported to the SPD to be issued a uniform traffic ticket, and then was released.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Family Center Farm and Home store, 1400 South Limit Avenue Suite 18, in reference to a forgery report. A suspect had come into the store and passed off two counterfeit $100 bills when making a purchase.


 

Tuesday afternoon, Officers were contacted by Sarah Miller, who reported found property near the area of South Moniteau Avenue and West 11th Street. The property has been placed into evidence.

Tuesday morning, Officers took a report in the Police Station lobby from Jason M. Hoover in reference to found property. Hoover stated a subject who appeared to be under the influence gave him a book and some unknown pills at the Bothwell Regional Health Center, 601 East 14th Street. The items were entered into evidence.


 

Officers were dispatched to a theft report at the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard. Several unrelated thefts were reported. The first theft had taken place on May 27th, another happened on May 28th, and another had happened on June 5th. City charges of shoplifting are being submitted against the suspects.


 

On June 8th, a subject turned in found property they had located while visiting the Sedalia Kite and Balloon Festival in the 2500 block of West 16th Street. The item was a purple jacket with contents in the pockets. The owner could not be located. The items have bene secured into evidence for safekeeping.


 

Monday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, to investigate a shoplifting report. Lindsay Elizabeth Sloma, 29, of La Monte, was arrested on a charge of Shoplifting. Sloma was released from the scene with a city summons.
