Early Friday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of South Grand Avenue to investigate an accident that had just occurred. Upon arrival, Officers identified the driver, who they knew had a suspended license. The driver’s information was checked on scene by PCAD, and then she was transported to the BRHC for an evaluation. Tatiana Lara Monroy, 24, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Driving While Suspended. Monroy was placed on a 24 hour hold at the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle on South Ohio Avenue near East 17th Street early Thursday morning because it was not displaying registration plates. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Troy Alvin Bishop Sr., 52, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated (Prior Offender). Bishop was transported to the BRHC for a blood draw, and then was taken to the Pettis County Jail to be booked.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle early Friday morning being driven by a person known to have a suspended license. The stop took place on South Engineer Avenue near East 12th Street. Contact was made with the driver, and the suspension was confirmed. Dana Lynne Bark, 53, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Driving while Suspended. Bark was transported to the Sedalia Police Department to be issued a Uniform Traffic Ticket. Bark was then released of her own recognizance.


 

Wednesday night, Officers observed a vehicle run a red light near South Lamine Avenue and East 2nd Street. A traffic stop was conducted, and in the in the course of the investigation, it was discovered the driver was intoxicated. Alla Yaroslavovna Grant, 44, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated. Grant was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where she provided a breath sample that showed her BAC was above 0.08. Grant was issued a UTT, fingerprinted, and then released to a sober driver.


 

A subject came to the Police Department lobby on Wednesday evening to turn in found property. The subject had found a cell phone in the 600 block of South Barrett Avenue. The phone was placed into evidence for safekeeping.


 

Thursday evening, Officers conducted a warrant check in the 3400 block of South Grand Avenue. Officer made contact with a female subject, and checked her information with Dispatch. She was found to have an active Failure to Appear warrant form Pettis County. The original traffic stop took place in November of 2023, and she missed her court date in May of 2024. Ruth Yamileth Rubio Turcios, 26, of Columbia, was arrested for her Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle. Rubio Turcios was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked, pending a cash only bond of $126.00.
