Thursday night, Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of East 3rd Street in regards to a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with the parties involved. After the investigation, it was determined a physical assault did take place between the involved parties. However, a primary aggressor could not be determined. A 12-hour log was documented for the incident.


 

Wednesday afternoon, a wallet was located in the area of East 9th Street and South Porter Avenue. It was turned in to the Police Department.


 

On the afternoon of May 26th, Officers were dispatched to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard. When Officers arrived on scene, they were told a shoplifting suspect had fled the area. Officers then gathered information for a report. The suspect is unknown at this time.


 

Thursday night, Officers responded to the 100 block of Villa Drive to assist Pettis County Deputies with a disturbance. Assistance was provided, and Officers cleared the scene.

Officers responded to Liberty Park, 1500 West 3rd Street, in reference to a hit and run crash Wednesday evening. Contact was made with the reporting party, Kathryn Dietzman, and information was collected for a report.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle because it had expired registration. The stop took place on Wednesday night in the area of South State Fair Boulevard and West 11th Street. The vehicle displayed a temporary tag that expired on May 23rd of 2024. The tag had been modified using a Sharpie marker to show a date of August 28th, 2024. The plate was seized.


 

On the afternoon of May 26th, Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of South Grand Avenue to investigate a report of destruction of property. Officers spoke with Anthony Mitchell and Stephanie Mitchell, and took information regarding an incident of tampering with property at the residence.


 

Thursday morning, Officers were dispatched to the Probation and Parole Office, 205 Thompson Boulevard, regarding a person with a warrant for their arrest. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the subject, Justin Tye Lindsey, 33, Homeless. Lindsey had a no bond warrant for his arrest, as well as two Benton County Failure to Appear warrants from 2022 on charges of Operating A Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility and Operating a Motor Vehicle on the Highway Without a Valid License.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 300 block of West 7th Street for a disturbance Wednesday night. Officers arrived on scene and determined the incident was involving two brothers. A physical altercation had occurred. An injured party was located, and he refused medical attention. Justin Lee Pruett, 32, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Aggravated Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree. Pruett was placed under arrest without incident.


 

On the afternoon of May 25th, Officers were dispatched to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a report of theft. The suspect had left the scene after being told to stop by employees.


 

Thursday night, Diana M. Stoeckel reported one of two license plates were lost or stolen from the 2000 block of South Warren Avenue.
