Monday Makes You Wanna Sing!

I don't know if a lot of you use the social network Twitter, but a lot of people of varying ages do. What will happen on that site is people will say something brief, and give it something called a "hashtag", which means it goes into an automatic category for other people who write about that topic and easily see what others are saying. One of the big trending topics today is one called "I Hate Mondays."  So not only is Monday inspiring the wrath of Twitter, it's also inspired several songs!

There's the famous one hit wonder by the Boomtown Rats, I Don't Like Mondays, there's a Mamas and the Papas classic...

And then there's The Carpenters....

And hey, why not Wilco?

I am hesitant to put this one in because it heartily annoys me, but maybe that's the point? The Bangles did one about Monday, too.

Do you hate Mondays? Is it really Monday that you hate, or just getting back to work after a couple of days off? Is the actual dread of going back to work what makes Monday so terrible? Or is it not that we hate working, but love time off so much?
