Novelty Songs: A DJ’s Worst Enemy

Novelty songs are a DJ's worst enemy. The first billion times you play them they're cute, but man, they wear you out. On Frida,y I played a novelty song on my "Lost 70's at 7" segment. I played Meri Wilson's "Telephone Man" I like this song because it's a little off color and I haven't heard it for a long time.

The 3 worst songs ever recorded in my opinion are:

Teddy Bear -Red Sovine. I HATE THIS SONG, GOOD BUDDY!

"Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer." I wish I was paid a quarter every time I got a request for this stupid song when it first came out. For the record, I loved my Grandma...despite her drinking problem.
