Sedalia Police Reports for July 18, 2024

Wednesday afternoon, an Officer was dispatched to the 200 block of Washington Avenue in reference to a property damage report. Carl McCallum stated someone took the screen and rubber caulking off of a window in an attempt to get into the residence.
Sedalia Police responded to the Casey’s General Store, 1601 East Broadway Boulevard Thursday evening, to investigate a report of a hit and run accident. Rebecca McGee stated her vehicle was sideswiped, and the other vehicle fled the scene before leaving any information. The suspect has not been identified at this time.
Wednesday night, Officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the 1200 block of East 12th Street. While speaking with both parties, it was determined the suspect threatened to hit the victim during the argument. Zachary Tyler Pulliam, 24, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Assault in the 4th Degree. Pulliam was booked and released at the Pettis County Jail.
Officers conducted a traffic stop Monday morning near South Kentucky Avenue and West 10th Street. The stop took place because the vehicle failed to maintain its lane of travel. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. The driver was arrested and transported to the Bothwell Regional Health Center, where a blood draw was conducted. The suspect was then transported to the Pettis County Jail. Timothy Brian Edwards, 58, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs and Alcohol, Persistent Offender). Edwards was booked and released at the Pettis County Jail.
Wednesday evening, Officers were dispatched to the Liberty Park, 1500 West 3rd Street, in reference to a report of found property. Officers spoke with a subject who reported they found a cell phone in the bathroom. The phone was placed into evidence for safekeeping as found property.
On the night of July 13th, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the area of West 3rd Street and South Prospect Avenue that they observed driving with no tail lights on. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. The suspect was transported to the Bothwell Regional Health Center, and then to the Pettis County Jail. Shellie Lynn Zimmerschied, 49, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs).
Wednesday morning, Officers responded to the 300 block of East 16th Street in reference to a theft report. A report was generated in reference to the incident.
Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Menard’s store, 4400 Wisconsin Avenue regarding a theft Wednesday morning. Upon arrival, the general manager explained the situation. Information was gathered for a report. Flyisha Nicole Schroeder, 29, of Sedalia, was issued a trespass notice from the property and a summons for Shoplifting. Schroeder was released on scene.
Tuesday evening, Officers made contact with Dennis Rodrigues on the phone in reference to a hit and run motor vehicle accident. Rodrigues stated the accident occurred in the area of South Limit Avenue and West Broadway Boulevard.
