Sunday night, Officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the 1800 block of South Sneed Avenue. Upon arrival, Officers attempted to speak to both of the parties involved. One of the subjects involved in the disturbance was very irate, and began making threats while Officers were investigating the incident. Jonathon Lee Prewitt, 42, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of Peace Disturbance, Harassment in the 1st Degree, Tampering with a Witness in a Felony Prosecution, and Assault in the 4th Degree. Prewitt was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked.


 

Sedalia Police took a report of found property late Sunday night. A white Michael Kohrs backpack was located in the area of Liberty Park, 1500 West 3rd Street. The owner of the backpack was contacted.


 

Sunday night, Officers took a found property report from the lobby of the Police Department. Lecia M. Parnell reported a pair of sunglasses, a phone, and a pack of cigarettes were located at the Pettis County Courthouse, 415 South Ohio Avenue. The items have bene placed into evidence for safekeeping.


 

Saturday evening, Officers stopped a white Dodge Durango in the area of East Broadway Boulevard and South Emmett Avenue because it had illegal amounts of window tinting. The front side windows measured at 5*%. Officers are requesting a state charge of Illegal Window Tint on the Front Side Windows and Windshield on the driver, who as not named in the report.


 

Sunday morning, Officers initiated a traffic stop on a SUV near East 24th Street and South Ohio Avenue for speeding. Officers had also observed several instances of the vehicle failing to maintain the right half of the roadway while it was travelling southbound on South Ohio Avenue from Broadway to 24th Street. The subject was found to be operating a vehicle that was not on his Sex Offender Registry**. Matthew Marion Platt, 43, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest for a felony charge of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the Hardee’s restaurant, 715 East Broadway Boulevard, on Saturday morning regarding a motor vehicle crash. A motor vehicle crashed into a building. The occupants were checked by EMS, and no injuries were reported. Tabra A. Allen, 30, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the 2nd Degree, Operating a Motor Vehicle on the Highway Without a License, Operating the Motor Vehicle of Another Knowing They Have no Insurance, and Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle.


 

Saturday night, a car was stopped in the area of East Broadway Boulevard and South Hancock Avenue for several indicators of impairment, as well as moving violations. The driver was found to be under the influence of drugs and in possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia. Jason Todd Argenbright, 49, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs). Argenbright was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on 24-hour hold.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of North Engineer Avenue in reference to a burglary report Saturday morning. There was no further information in the report.

Friday afternoon, Sedalia Police took a found property report from the lobby of the Police Station. The reporting party had found a set of car keys near city hall. They were entered into evidence as found property.


 

Sedalia Police were called to the 900 block of Winchester Drive on Sunday morning to investigate a disturbance in progress. A primary physical aggressor was determined and placed under arrest. Orekly Rufino, 40, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree, felony Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the 1st Degree, and felony Child Abuse. Rufino was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be held pending charges.


 

On the morning of June 4th, Officers were dispatched to the Probation and Parole Office, 205 Thompson Road, in reference to a subject present with an active warrant for their arrest. Charity Rachae Dixon, 26, of Sedalia was arrested for her Probation Violation warrant on original charges of felony Possession of a Controlled Substance. Dixon was transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a cash or surety bond of $25,000.


 

Saturday morning, Officers were dispatched to the Wal Mart parking lot for a hit and run accident. Officers arrived on scene, and gathered information from Audrey J. Connor. A documentation of damages to Connor’s vehicle was completed.


 

On the morning of June 9th, Officers were dispatched to investigate a violation of an order of protection. The violation took place in the 600 block of West 20th Street. Officers made contact with the reporting party, and gathered information for a report.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of North Grand Avenue to respond to a disturbance in progress Sunday morning. Officers arrived, conducted an investigation, gathered information from the parties involved, and a 12-hour log was completed.


 

Saturday afternoon, Officers responded to the 900 block of Westwood Avenue regarding a domestic disturbance. An altercation had occurred during a custody exchange. Both parties were separated. No primary aggressor could be identified, and a 12-hour domestic log was completed.


 

Early Saturday morning, Officers responded to Otten’s Small Engine Repair, 2617 East Broadway Boulevard, for a commercial burglary alarm. Officers checked the business and determined entry had been made. The suspect was identified and arrested the following day without incident. David A. Macias, 37, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of Stealing and Burglary in the 2nd Degree. Macias was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and placed on a 24-hour hold.


 

Friday evening, Officers were dispatched to a call of fraudulent activity in the 600 block of East 24th Street. Officers spoke with the reporting party, and gathered information for a report.


 

Officers responded to the lobby of the Police Department in regards to a theft from a vehicle in the 400 block of East 13th Street. Officers spoke with Abbigail Meyers and Shian Whittle on Saturday afternoon, and gathered all the information possible to create a report.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Casey’s store, 1909 West Main Street on Friday afternoon. A female had come into the store, and asked the staff to call Police. Officers arrived on scene, made contact with the subject, and determined she was a victim of domestic violence. Information was gathered from the victim, injuries were documented, a report was completed, and charges were submitted to the prosecutor’s office.


 

On the evening of June 4th, Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of East 9th Street in reference to property damage on a vehicle’s passenger side window.


 

Friday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of West Main Street for a report of a found bicycle. Officers arrive don scene, and took the bicycle to the Police Department, where it will be held as found property.


 

Donald Martin brought in an iPhone with a Cash App card into the lobby of the Police Department on Friday evening. Martin had found the items in the 1000 block of South Osage Avenue. The items were placed into evidence as found property.


 

Friday night, Police conducted a welfare check on an individual in the area of West Main Street and W.T. Morris. There was no further information in the report.


 

Officers took a fraud report from Joseph W. Wright Friday evening. Wright stated his Doordash account as hacked in the 600 block of East 10th Street, and money was taken. No charges were requested. A report was taken for documentation.
