Thursday afternoon, Officers took a report of forgery in the lobby of the Sedalia Police Department. The victim stated that without his permission, someone changed the banking information for his paycheck direct deposit.

Sedalia Police responded to the 400 block of North Prospect Avenue in reference to a theft. The complainant stated his separated wife stole his dog. Officers were able to make contact with the wife. The dog was returned to the owner, and the wife was arrested. Mitsuyo Ito, 33, of Warrensburg, was arrested on a charge of Stealing Animals. Ito was booked pending state charges.


 

Tuesday afternoon, Scott Stetzenbach came to the lobby of the Police Department to report he found a license plate on the roadway. The plate was found in the area of Rebar Road and Radio Hill Road. The plate was entered into evidence.


 

Early Friday morning, Officers responded to the 3300 block of West Broadway Boulevard in regards to a subject trying to get into a vehicle. Upon arrival, the suspect had already fled the scene. Officers conducted a search of the area, but was unable to locate the subject. At the time of the report, nothing was stolen or damaged during the incident.


 

Officers took a report of the phone in reference to a stolen pet. Elaine Voncil Webb spoke with Officers about the incident, which occurred in the 300 block of North Stewart Avenue. Officers Conducted an investigation, and there was no evidence to show a crime was committed. A general information report was made to document the incident.
