Wednesday afternoon, Officers and a Pettis County Deputy checked a wooded area for a subject. The wooded area was around the Washington Street Bridge, at the intersection of East Main Street and North Washington Avenue. The subject had a Probation Violation warrant and a Failure to Appear warrant. One incident occurred in 2010, with a ticket from the Clinton Police Department on charges of felony Stealing (More than $500 but less than $25,000). After several missed court appearances, a motion to revoke his parole was filed in 2016. Bond on that charge was not available. The Failure to Appear warrant was issued from Pettis County after charges of felony Possession of a Controlled Substance were filed in 2019. After a hearing in 2022, the subject was put on probation, and that was violated in 2023. The latest FTA was issued in May 2024, with bond set at $25,000 cash or surety. Dakota A. Gregg, 37, Homeless, was arrested for his two warrants.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Magnolia Street for a report of found property. A pair of gray Levi jeans and two cellphones were found in an alleyway. Officers gathered information from the reporting party, a report was completed, and the property was entered for safekeeping at the Police Department.


 

On the afternoon of June 3rd, Officers responded to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, regarding a male that had been at the location for multiple days. The male was identified, and found to have been taking items without paying for them. Jonathan M. Roste, 35, of Blue Springs, was arrested on a charge of Shoplifting. Roste was given a citation for Shoplifting, and then trespassed from the property.


 

Tuesday evening, Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of South State Fair Boulevard regarding a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers spoke to the parties involved. It was determined there had been a physical altercation. When Officers tried to arrest the intoxicated suspect, she resisted arrest. Carlie Rea Helms, 31, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree and felony Resisting Arrest. Helms was transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 
Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 800 block of La Grand Drive regarding a possible harassment. Officers spoke with the reporting party and gathered information for a report.

Wednesday night, a set of keys was turned in to the lobby of the Police Station. The keys were found in Housel Park, 201 East Howard Street. The property was logged into the property room for safekeeping.


 

Wednesday evening, Officers responded to the Mazzio’s restaurant, 1613 South Limit Avenue, for a report of a disturbance. The subject that started the disturbance was issued a trespass warning for the restaurant.


 

Sedalia Police took a report in the lobby of the Police Department in reference to a possible harassment complaint that took place in the 3000 block of Clinton Road Sunday evening.
