Sedalia Police Reports for March 15, 2024

Sedalia Police responded to the Bank 21, 1650 East Broadway Boulevard early Friday morning in reference to a commercial burglary alarm. Upon arrival, Officers located the ATM outside the business. The ATM had been damaged, and a sum of money was stolen. No suspects have been identified at this time.

Officers were dispatched to 2000 block of West Main Street early Friday morning for a report of a stolen vehicle*. Upon arrival, Officers gathered the information to place a “Be On The Lookout” order for the stolen vehicle. Officers generated a report for further investigation.

Thursday morning, Officers responded to the 600 block of East 10th Street in reference to a property damage report. The complainant stated a female subject had broken a glass door with a beverage bottle. Later that night, the subject was located in the 300 block of East 3rd Street. Christina Marie Forsee, 36, of Sedalia was arrested on a charge of Damage to Non-City Property. Forsee was issued a municipal citation with a court date.

Wednesday evening, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle that was driving in the dark without headlights. Upon contact with the driver at the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Kentucky Avenue, it was discovered the driver did not have a valid driver’s license. Carlos Ramos-Portillo, 20, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of No Operator’s License. Ramos-Portillo was issued a municipal court summons, fingerprinted at the Police Station, and released to a valid driver.

Thursday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to a civil dispute in the 1500 block of West Main Street. One of the subjects involved was shown to have four active warrants for his arrest out of Henry County. John Nathan Hale Sr., 49, of Sedalia, was arrested for his Failure to Appear warrants. Hale had two Failure to Appear warrants for charges of Displaying the License Plates of Another Person and two FTA warrants on charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility. Hale was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be given a total cash or surety bond of $700.00.

Sedalia Police met with David Preisendorf Thursday afternoon in the lobby of the Police Department. Priesendorf stated an assault had occurred at his residence in the 500 block of East 14th Street. The assault took place on Monday. There was no further information in the report.

Thursday afternoon, an Officer was dispatched to the 1st United Methodist Church, 916 Thompson Road in reference to a found property report. A bicycle was left at the church for two weeks, and it was placed into evidence for safe keeping.

*The incident report notes the reporting party as the Central Missouri Community Credit Union, and the location of the incident to the be the American Legion Post 642, 2016 West Main Street. It was not clear if the vehicle stolen was a company vehicle.
