The Ranking of My Almost Startling Body Wash Collection
The situation in my bathroom cabinet has gotten..... a little out of hand.
You know how it is. You get in the shower, you realize you're getting low on shampoo. And when you go to the Food Library, you don't just buy shampoo, right? You buy another set of shampoo and conditioner. Even if you still have half a bottle of conditioner.
Well, that's what's happening in our tiny little bathroom these days. But, in general, it's mostly my fault.
You guys know how I am. I always want to try new things, and if something has more than one flavor, most of the time, I want to try it. So when I found a newish product I liked, I went in. Maybe a little too hard.
NOW HOLD ON. Not all of those are body washes, and not all of them were purchased by me. Or at once. Some of them were a lovely Valentine's gift from NJ. Some I've had for a minute. You get it.
Anyway, so while I mostly rocked with Suave for ages, there was something about the mission statement, packaging, and just whole vibe of Native that made me decide to give em a go, and I haven't looked back.
Keep in mind, I am not being paid to talk about this. But if Native wanted to send me a bunch of free stuff, I'm not gonna complain.
I really thought this one was going to be my daily-go to. And it might be if this is the one that's in stores all year around. It's light, a nice balance of both scents. And the body wash itself helps me not to dry out my delicate little whiny sensitive skin too much.
I know I'm kinda giving myself the razz there, but you know how it is. When you get that weird dry skin itch on your belly or your leg or whatever a few hours after a shower? I don't get that with this stuff.
So I thought, okay, one for one, good job. Let's see how you do face wash.
I, again, am apparently a delicate little whiner who gets a red face and dry skin sometimes. And sometimes if you don't get the sensitive skin type......well, it's just a lot of drama you don't need.
Two for two. Pretty good, overall. It's a nice, kind of thick face wash - sometimes I prefer that because if you're in the shower and you push the little lever and it comes out too quick, it just goes everywhere, you know?

Let's see if you can handle my Hair Problems. Which, of course, are myriad. I have dyed, curly hair, so it's an issue. It's very thick and unruly, and quite difficult to do much with. I pull it up and out of the way most of the time.
I got this because it's supposed to be the closest to their "curly hair" variety I've seen in stores. I wasn't unimpressed, but I also wasn't blown away. It didn't do a better or worse job than any other kind. I couldn't tell you anything too specific about the scent (I had to stop myself from saying flavor again), but it is inoffensive, if a little too nut forward.
That's what she said.
This one intrigued me, because I thought it was only like, Pert Plus and Head and Shoulders that did the 2N1 type deals. This was chosen because of the "full and thick" thing, which.. you know, I have. AND ON MY HAIR.
Honestly though, this one sounded good and it smelled nice from a quick sniff at the Food Library, but... overall I felt it was too masculine for my tastes. I think it would smell amazing on a burly dude, though. NJ? Reading this?
But guys, if I'm being real... this is my jam. This flavor is the one. Okay, it's not a flavor, it's a scent (I know, I know), but it is the best. And of course, it's a limited edition, so whatever NJ was able to snag online might be the last of it. Which means I need to apparently bring it on down to hoarderville. Yep, that's three body washes, two lotions, and one hair care.
Autumn Air and Amber. It's... wow. It's just so good, you guys. It's a little cinnamony, but not too much, and a lot of it is a nice amber, which I'm really liking lately. It really does smell like what you want fall to smell like, if that's clear as mud. I think most importantly, I like how it smells on me with my perfume. I guess I'm sensitive to smell?
I am going to be hoarding this and using it every day, sparingly, until we can find some more or they bring it back or someone at the company sees this little plea from a small time dj and decides to take pity on me with free stuff.
What are your favorite brands when it comes to the shower? Are you brand loyal, do you buy based on price, or do you have another concern?
Cleanly yours,
