Kids, I know and you know that sometimes stuff just happens.  You can't help it, and sometimes you know better, but you do it anyway.

This is a story about one of those things.  Today when I got to work, I looked at our bulletin board.  On our bulletin board are all sorts of little checklists and things that need to get done.  One of the lists is for our upcoming remote broadcasts.  I saw the list and it seemed normal, until I got to a remote listing for the end of this month.

The list is a grid type of thing.  It's a spreadsheet of sorts that has the list of the date, the time, the location, the station broadcasting on, who is doing the remote, and what the occasion is.

On this one, it said:  "May 25th, 11-1,  Car Mart, KXKX, Behka"

All of that was completely normal.  But the occasion?

"Monthly Visitor."   Not "Monthly Visit."   Nothing that sounds, you know, normal.  At first, our Brand Manager was sure it was a typo.  It was autocorrect.  Everyone thought it was just hilarious, as did I.

Then I found out it was that darn Ray the Janitor who had done it, and he had done it on purpose, in an attempt to be "humorful".

So not unlike that dog, it was a failure. His jokes tend to be on the cheesier side.  So sadly, that made it less funny than if it had been a mistake.  And, it would have been even funnier mistake if it had come from our Brand Manager,  because he is very conscientious and doesn't get too many things wrong/mistaken.

Well, that's the kind of humor that happens when you work at a radio station sometimes. You get all sorts of types.  What kind of mishaps happen at your work?  Got any funny stories?

Visitingly yours,

Behka
