The Snack Universe Listened To My Prayers For Once
Well guys, it's time for another Snack Review with Rebehka, if you will.
Honestly, Gentle Reader, I wasn't planning on doing another one of these so soon. I had done a review not too long ago about some dill pickle flavored popcorn. I wasn't going to go looking for another food review to do so quickly, but this one literally fell into my lap!
Basically, NJ had gone to the Food Library to pick up a couple of little things to go along with dinner or something or other. And he saw this!
Which of course, is something I mentioned in the aforementioned Dill Pickle adventure.
I had seen this flavor on their website, but I hadn't seen it in stores yet. And don't get it twisted - I do not believe for a single second that any Food Library in Sedalia or the surrounding areas stocked this because I asked for it.
I get this is a coincidence, just wanted to make that clear. I ain't too big for my britches.
I know, the washing machine and the dryer aren't really countertops.
I thought this one would be interesting, but a challenge. Particularly concerning my lovely NJ - who does not abide by blue cheese in his food very often. But the smell was kind of more a pleasant, garlicy aroma. Not overwhelming. The blue cheese flavor is there, but it's mostly a jalapeno taste you're getting. It's not super spicy, it might just leave a slight tingle on your tongue. It's more about the flavor of the jalapeno here than it is the spice. In fact, this kinda has an aftertaste that's a little more like a jalapeno popper. And if you like those, this is good.

However, if you do eat a whole or even half a bag of this stuff, you will have the same physical response that you would get after eating four or five jalapeno poppers in one sitting. In your water closet. If you dig what it is I'm trying to politely lay down.
Overall, great snack! Still a little pricey to my wallet, but not too bad. It's not like it's five bucks a bag, but you do get a lot more for your money poppin' your own corn. But if you just want an occasional flavor change to mix it up, this is a great addition to your snack repertoire.
Kernely yours,
Behka
