Cracking The Code: Solving The Mystery Of Sliding Seat Belt Buckles
Guys, I have been dealing with something quite annoying over the past few days. Well, it's not a MAJOR annoyance, but it's enough to be a bother. Basically, I'm a whiney baby, so a lot of things are an annoyance to me. MOVING ON.
Basically I get in my car every morning, and make sure to buckle up my seat belt for Maximum Safety.
But lately, I've started to notice something... off. I'd go to reach for my seat belt buckle, and it wouldn't be there. It would suddenly be all the way down the belt onto the floor. And then, I somehow have to use my sausage arms to squeeze through and find it, and then get buckled, and then be on my way.
Which, as you can imagine happening at zero dark thirty, takes about thirty seconds longer than it should ever do.
So I thought to myself, "Self, what's the deal. Why is this happening?" I was wondering if I broke something, because my little car is getting older. It's maybe ten years old, but it's still in pretty good condition, if I do say so myself. I did some Googling, starting off with learning a bit more about my little Corolla friend. And then, I found a video on the Youtubes. This video pointed out there is a little dot there on the belt, that's there to STOP the belt from doing just that. Time to investigate.
Admittedly, it's something I never noticed. I guess it's just something you take for granted, right? Did my car lose it's little dot, or is something else afoot?
