Unparalleled Fun Skyrockets Across The Dirt Track Out At Lucas Oil Speedway
And now, Gentle Reader, the story of our night out at Lucas Oil Speedway! We as a station decided to get out and go to the races. We took along a few others but we all had a great time. Let me give you the run down.
Lucas Oil Speedway? Isn't That A Long Drive?
Actually, this was something I had a misconception about, as well. I kept thinking this was at least a two hour drive, but that's just not the case. It took us about an hour, we went down 65 and then took 83. It's actually a really pretty drive, takes you right over Truman Lake, etc.
Did You Even Get To See Anything Before It Rained?
Of course! They moved up the races a bit to try to beat the rain, even. But they had to do what was best for the racers, the audience, the track itself, you know.
Lucas Oil Speedway was only able to complete one of its five scheduled features on Saturday night before rain postponed the remainder of the Pitts Homes and Realty Weekly Racing Series program Presented by Encounter Ministries, Inc.
J.C. Morton of Springfield ended up winning the 20-lap Hermitage Lumber Late Model feature in the Moon Brothers Racing Rocket chassis. Have a look at how our night went. Even though it rained, it was still a TON of fun.
