Five Sedalia Food Trucks To Make Your Hangriness Go Away
I think everyone loves to talk about food, and we're all very passionate about it. We have our preferences, obviously. I'm thinking about branching out and trying some new things when it comes to my takeout options. I did a little Facebook searching and found five places that look pretty darn good to me. I'm going to have to try them soon - probably the next time I work through lunch and get a bad case of the Hangries.*
1. David's Hot Dogs.
He's over on South 65 Highway, by the big truck stop and Tran Central Supply, open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sure, they're named for their hot dogs, but it looks like they have a ton more stuff than that, from bread bowls to fish and burgers.
2. Curbside Pies.
Pizza. Pasta. Subs. Carb heaven. You know how this goes. Curbside parks by the Craft Beer Cellar on the Avenues (Downtown Sedalia, think Ohio street). They're there most Friday nights and for special events.
3. Sunshine Food Service.
This truck comes to the Sedalia Area Farmer's Market on the Missouri State Fairgrounds. The market meets Tuesdays and Fridays in the spring and summer season, and every Thursday in the winter season from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. They also grow a lot of vegetables, fruits, and all that good stuff on their land. It looks like they make steamed buns, egg rolls and fried rice. That might be a nice option!
4. Tacos El Arca.
Oh, tacos. How I love thee. This guy usually parks right next to Furniture Factory Outlet and McCarthy Toyota. Steak, pork, chicken, brisket... tacos. Who doesn't love tacos? Communists, that's who. Dirty, dirty commies.
5. Table of Five Catering - Talagio's Wood Fired Pizzas.
Pizza is so nice, I had to mention it twice. Table of Five has more like a trailer situation. So technically it's a Food Truck, in my opinion. They bring their oven with them, literally, to events. They've been around for a minute now (read: long time) and you can smell that dough coming miles away. What is it about fire and bread that just equals delicious?
Anyway. What are your favorite food trucks in the area? What did I leave off the list? Weigh in down below in the comments and let me know!
Foodily yours,
Behka
