Storytime! Over the last year or so, my boyfriend NJ, my Dad and I have been working on some "Do It Yourself" projects.

It's actually been since like, March of 2023.  And it's now...November of 2024?

It started with the foyer, which we did entirely ourselves. And of course, that took much longer than we though it would.  But, it got done.

Then, he gave me like... two months rest before he started in on wanting to finish up the other two rooms, the living room and the dining room. That's where my Dad stepped in and said we should hire some pros to get this going the right way. And yes, that was stressful. But they did an amazing job. We painted, we cleaned, and we moved on.

When hired the pros, we asked them to take off the woodwork and keep it to one side, and that we would be stripping it, sanding it, treating it, etc. Admittedly that part was much much easier than trying to do it all while it was still attached to the wall. The hard part on this section of our misadventures, however, was putting it all back together. Or at least, attempting to.

Damage It Myself Part 6

Wow, it looks great, if I do say so myself. I know we're not done, we still have some parts to fix and touch up and whatnot. But we managed to get one huge step closer to done this past weekend, and I cannot wait.

What are some of your DIY projects you've handled at your place? Did you keep pictures? Share em in the comments!
